i think thats it.
tell me what you guys think.

haha sorry im in no position to assess your chances because im just a senior whose also trying to get in --- but we have very similar stats except i suck at math

anyways, i was wondering how you calculated your michigan gpa - is it

A=4
B=3
C=2
??

so does that mean that if you have an A- thats a 4? that would be terrrific

*EDIT oh and also, do you count freshman year? would i count a class like Journalism I or Journalism II? or purely MATH SCIENCE LANGUAGE HISTORY ENGLISH (core classes)?

obviously this question is open to anyone who knows the answer!

Yes, that's how you calculate GPA. Freshman year doesn't count. And I don't know about Journalism, but I don't think so.

And I'd say chi. lee is a match.

awesomeee. come to michigan!
i'm from NJ also and i think WAY too many of us korean people go to rutgers for pharmacy.. haha.

and your stats are great, so you should receive some scholarship money. just remember to apply EARLY!

Yes, I agree with Christine, Michigan is a match for Chi.lee, but a very safe match. Top 1% of her class, 1440 on the original sections of the SAT and a 3.8+ unweighed GPA pretty much = acceptance. She should apply as soon as possible and most likely, she will have an acceptance before Thanks Giving.

thanks ;)
now all i need to do is freakin start on these essays.
blahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Take those essays seriously Chi.lee. Even students with strong credntials are expected to show interest in the university they are applying to, and that means well thought out essays.

Do you guys know of any1 who goes to Umich who did the IB Diploma in HS? Do any of you know how they treat the IB when it comes to admission? B/c Im doing the IB and I really want to go to UM ^_^

Michigan understands and respects the IB system a great deal, so you won't have any trouble. If your expected total is in the 40 range and your SAT is strong, your chances are good. Apply by October at the latest.
