will poor freshman and sophomore grades hurt my chances? id greatly appreciate any help

bump cuz i kind of want an answer

i think u have a good chance, i am applying as well and my sister goes there (she is in her second yr)
but umkc really looks at your personality, they want to know that you have a genuine interest in their program, so just make sure your interview goes well

Your GPA goes against you the most, but it is good that the low grades were freshman and sophomore years. Your ACT is well above the minimum 26, and because it is in the 99th percentile reflects well upon your intelligence.

I'd say you will get an interview (as long as your app was in on time) but from there, they don't look at stats...they look at you as a person

i think you have very good chances for an interview! be sure to check for voicemail often, as i almost missed the message for my interview 3 years ago, haha.

If you don't hear back by mid-january, go ahead and call MaryAnne Morgenegg and ask her about your status.

Good Luck!

i started this thread like 3 months ago and today decided to check my the multiple degree forum and here it was! anyway turns out im not in the top 20%.... does this rule me out? my ACT score did go up to a 34 though

did u get an interview yet?
