My chances at UMN

Hi I am an international student from Vietnam. I want to apply to UMN this fall. Here are my stats.

GPA: 8.5/10

TOEFL:101

SAT: 1890

Plz chance me guys.

Thanks a ton.

It depends on what school you apply to and your major. So please provide more info and then ppl can help you out:)

I want to apply to Carlson College of Management and the major is International Bus.
I’m from VN and my EC is decent.
I will retake the SAT in DEC but I dont know if UMN accept Dec score.

Plz help me people.

If 8.5 is essentially a B avg. then no chance at CSOM.

From what I read, an 8.5 seems like a low 90, or similar to a 3.75. I’d say your in at CLA (liberal arts) not sure about everything else.

In Vietnam, 8.5 is considered A or at least 3.8, 3.9/4.0 b/c it is 99.99% impossible to get 9 -> 10/10 GPA.

Guys i need more advice. Plz help me.

Go ahead and apply. It is not a difficult application, although I don’t know if it is different for international students. Send admissions an email to ask about the December SAT. Good luck.
