I know UB isn’t too hard of a school, but my anxiety is killing me and I really want to know my chances of getting in.
For the ACT, I have a 20(Not too great I know)
My GPA is a 92.50/3.7
I live in-state already,
I participated in sports such as the golf team and extra curricular activities all 4 years of highschool
I have 3 solid letters of recommendation and a great application essay, and have good community service through being on the marching band, junior achievement, and Read Alliance tutor
Anyone know how this would stand up? I just need a rough estimate. Thanks!!
Can you take another ACT? As you mentioned, that is really below average.
This site puts your chances based on act ALONE at less than 10%. http://www.studentsreview.com/gettingin.php3?SH=SUNYBA&ST=NY
Your GPA is OK, but in my opinion, I don’t think it is strong enough to compensate for your low ACT.
I’m sure they accept students with low ACTs, but I don’t work there, so I don’t know your real chances.
What classes did you take? What is the highest math and science? If you had AP’s, college courses, higher up maths/sciences, you’re golden. If not, then I am not sure.
I’ve taken up to 7 AP classes in total over my 4 years of high school. AP World, AP English, AP U.S. History, AP Bio, AP Lit, AP Gov’t, and AP Human Geography.
Absolutely do not worry. You probably wont get a scholarship, nor in the honors college, but definitely are in. I had the same exact ACT score and same average and got in. You’re fine.
