My chances at University of Illinois Urbana Champaign?

I am currently going to be entering my junior year of high school next month, I know my gpa is pretty low right now, but if i get straight A's my junior year will i be able to get in? I've taken honors classes since freshman year, and i'm taking AP classes this year. The reason my gpa is so low is because i didn't do so well in Honors Bio + Chemistry, and I got a C+ in both classes..

What do I need to do to get in?

Oh, and if i can’t go to UIUC, what are my chances at Illinois State University or UIC?

You might have a chance, but it’s hard to tell. You’d have to have a solid class rank and ACT/SAT score. I think you won’t have any trouble getting into Illinois State and UIC.

Sorry to early to tell but in my opinion you’ll be fine. I’m applying there this coming school year! Good luck with Junior year and take advantage of being an upper-classmen?

UIC looks at GPA and class rank strongly. Your GPA is on the low end for UIC. For class rank, the average is about the 75th percentile. The average ACT is about a 24. Assuming you don’t bomb the ACT, you’ll probably be accepted to most colleges. I’m not quite sure about Engineering.
