My Chances at Wake Forest?

Hey,

Going to apply to Wake Forest this fall and was curious about my chances, I know they're not high(due to my SAT, etc), but just wanted some input anyway. Unfortunately, my ACT is a 30, which would look better at all other schools, but since Wake doesn't take them for some reason...

As a note, I'll be competing in the Wake Forest Early Bird Debate Tournament this September and plan on meeting with an admissions officer and a debate coach if possible.

SAT: (EEK!)
1910
710 CR
600 M
600 W (9/12 Essay)

Rest of my stats:

I'm a rising Senior....just got done with Junior year

Stats:

GPA: ~3.477 unweighted, ~4.1 weighted, these will hopefully be a bit higher by the end of first semester Senior year.

Note:
Brought Physics from a "B" to an "A" from 1st to 2nd semester, and brought Precalc from a "C" to a "B" from 1st to 2nd semester, so, rising GPA...

Extra-Curric:

What do you guys think?

Anyone? Hehe

Any opinions?

I would say 25% it is getting harder and harder much better chance 5 years ago tha avg admitted student this year was 1381.

Well, do you consider the fact that I'm meeting with the Debate coach about my possibilities on the team and my sturdy background in it any boost?

a reach at best unless the coach can really push, your stats are just not strong for wake below average at best all around. Epecially if you are not a special interest student

Yeah, I understand, well, it's supposed to be one of my reach schools, so that's fine.

Any other opinions on the matter?

Go for it. SAT's only one part of the equation. Good strong essays, your debate experience and AP heavy schedule (keep grades solid sr. year) will help. Start early on Wake app. so you can give it the time it requires; it's labor intensive. Good luck.

Well, that's the thing, I've already completed the Common App supplement for it, I just set aside the other day to bang it all out. I'm submitting the Signature File, the thing that you put your picture on, within the next day or so. I appreciate the input, hopefully I will have a shot.

Any other input?

Thanks!

Anyone else?
