GPA 3.86
ACT 29 (I might take it one more time and try for at least a 30)
Extracurriculars: Track & Field (might add one or two more my senior year), volunteering this summer at a local dental clinic doing clerical services.

Schools I'm interested in:
USC (high interest)
NYU (high interest)
Boston University (high interest)
Northeastern
Chapman
Loyola Marymount
UC Irvine

I'm interested in business (either international or with a focus in entertainment).
College P r o w l e r says I have a 34% and 38% at getting accepted into USC and NYU. Is this necessarily accurate?

Thanks.

Nice GPA! Is it unweighted?
If you’re interested in business you need to have taken AP Calc or IB HL Math and have gotten good grades in it.
Your ECs are very, very sparse. You should do an internship or something.
I don’t know much about ACT, but a 29 is what

I think you have very good chances at BU, I’d even say maybe it’s a safety.
NYU is a match - your GPA exceeds their average one, your test scores match but your ECs are straggling a little. What kind of HS courses did you take?
Northeastern I’d also say match. I dk about the others so much.

Please chance me back!

Your test scores and GPA are good. Your ECs are a bit weak. Did you take any APs? If so, what were your scores on the tests?
Based on what you have told us:
USC- low reach
NYU- match
Northeastern- low reach
Chapman- match
Loyola Marymount- match
UC Irvine- match

I took AP English, but I haven’t heard back from the AP Program yet.

I will probably be going to a Jewish group this fall, and I might do something else. I don’t want to overload and make it look like I’m only adding them just for the sake of it.

I really really want to go to USC (my parents would prefer it if I go to school in California). I don’t have a good chance of being accepted there?

I am a current nyu stern student.

To be honest, your gpa is mediocre. But i got in stern with a pretty mediocre SAT score, ~2100. i don’t know how comparable that is to the ACTs though.

they wanna see that you took AP classes bc they want to make sure you took the most challenging classes you could take at your school, but AP scores don’t matter. I took about 7 AP classes, and most my friends here took at least around 4.

Unless you have a kick-ass essay, or unless you were the star runner in your track&field team, your extracurrics arent looking too good either…

I am only speaking for Stern, I’m not sure about USC.
