Hey thb, I really like your choices of schools to apply to. Unlike many here you have a GREAT balance of match/reaches/safeties. Try to narrow it down just a little...that is a HELL of a lot of schools to be applying too. You might be asking yourself "how? I like all of them". Look into them more and see how good they are in what you want to study or do when you get older.

I see you getting deferred from Columbia, then waitlisted. You have a small shot though. That is my honest opinion.

Its really just that 3.5 uw. If only you could have sustained it along 3.8 then you would most probably be in. I think you will get deferred initally and then probably rejected (sorry!)

It's not only the 3.5, but weak SATs. Can't see ivies and cetainly not Columbia w/ 11% acceptance rate. Sorry, but you're not even close. You need to look at schools where your stats are in range for a NJ kid.

The SATs are most definitely NOT weak. 1510 (M+CR) and a mid 700s Writing??? Transfer applicants on CC that got accepted to Columbia average around high 1400s and low 1500s (and transfering is undoubtedly much much harder than applying ED freshman round!)
