<p>ND doesn't have ED, so you must mean EA. Stats are great, so you've definitely got a good shot. I'd say you're probably in, but nothing is ever for sure in the competitive world of college admissions. </p>
<p>Why would your mom be doubtful considering that you have a 1600 M + CR, a 35 ACT, and top 1% of class?</p>
<p>Okay and your Mom is pessimistic, why? At first, I thought your post was a joke. Come on 1600 SAT's, 4.0 uw gpa, Eagle Scout, swimming All American. And you are worried? I'll go out on a big limb here and say unless you have the worse recommendations and your essay makes you sound like a moron, you don't have to lose too much sleep. Of course, of course, one never knows but if my son had your scores I would not worry. Best of luck to you.</p>
<p>For your sake, I hope you didn't write the "Rudy" essay. At an info session they told me they would rather receive no essay than the Rudy essay. However, if you just mentioned your love of ND in the additional notes section, I think you will be OK Needless to say your stats are superb.</p>

On the supplement, ND asks for 150 words or less on a final note on why you want to attend.
I thought I did a better job reasoning on that than on my essays. Go figure.</p>

<p>well there are these new things called statistics and profiles of previous students--and also maybe something we call common sense where you use deductive reasoning to logically formulate an educated guess. and seeing as it's relatively hard to get higher than a 1600 and a 4.0 unweighted gpa, it would be reasonable to assume that one's chances of admission are pretty good. i know its a hard concept to grasp, but do try. haha dont be offended by this message. i'm a very sarcastic person, and it is my most effective way of expressing my opinions. this can sometimes get me into trouble as one might accurately guess...especially when it comes to communicating with know-it-all, riddle-speaking, and rediculous physics teachers, but i digress. yes, i think your chances are pretty good</p>
<p>You're in, I'm 99% sure. Excluding if for some reason a rec letter writer hates you, but that sounds extremely doubtful. </p>
<p>But I'm pretty sure Notre Dame doesn't have ED, its only EA so you may want to look into that and read up on the stats on the university website, it'll reaffirm that you have a really good chance of getting in based on SAT scores and class percentage.</p>
