What do you guys think i.e. any constructive criticism is appreciated? Thanks a bunch!!!!!!:)

You definitely have the stats. They will also place emphasis on your essay. Make sure it shows your passion for business and/or describes a business-type experience.

looks good. come to umich! we need more asian people in the bba program.. haha.
i dunno why, but it seems like there aren't much at all compared to wharton, haas, or stern.

Definitely send only your ACT score.

There are plenty of Asians I know who are in the BBA program ;)

If I can, you can

Your stats:
GPA: 3.7
ACT: 35
8 APs through junior year
IS

My stats:
GPA: 3.55
ACT: 35
5 APs though junior year
OOS

You win

You have a reasonable shot at Ross pre-edmit. You will definitely get into Michigan, most likely into the Honors program. You may also get some scholarship money. As some have suggested, definitely use your ACT. A 35 on the ACT is more impressive than a 2200 on the SAT.

As for Ross pre-admit, it depends on your essay and some luck. I'd say that getting into Ross as a pre-admit is a 50/50 deal, even for excellent candidates.

Thanks for all the responses everybody!!!!!:) I sent the results of all standardized tests I have ever taken in HS to the University of Michigan so I'm not sure what you all mean by "only" sending the ACT score?? Whatever, I'm pretty sure UMich will consider your highest score anyway. My biggest worry right is that my UW Mich GPA is only 3.7 since that's like at the 25th percentile of GPA for UMich students in the classes past. My actual UW GPA is 3.8+ since I got a 4.0 my freshman year, but it seems Michigan doesn't consider that. Oh well, keep the feedback coming!!!

they just meant not to send your SAT grades because your ACT score is far superior to it

is this the only place your applying?

Nah, I'm applying to a bunch of other reaches like the Ivies and what not but I feel like considering UMich to be a safe match would be too arrogant on my part, so I'll drop an application in to MSU. Any more opinions on my chances to other business schools like Wharton perhaps??? Also, are the other essays in the UMich application considered equally alongside the specific Ross essay when the admission officers decide whether to preadmit freshman to Ross or not??? Thanks for all your help guys.:)

Wharton and Sloan are reaches but they are worth applying.

Personally, I don't think that applying to some Ivies, like Brown, Columbia and Dartmouth, is worth it considering they neither have B schools, nor are their arts and sciences colleges any better than Michigan's.

Cornell, Stern and Tepper are probably the only other three matches worth applying to because they accept undergrads straight out of high school, although neither is quite as good as Ross.

UVa and Cal both have excellent B schools, but they do not admit students straight out of high school.

Furthermore, if you are willing to entertain Economics as a major, don't discount Harvard, Princeton and Stanford.

I would hold off applying to MSU and apply to Michigan as early as possible...in the coming weeks. You will most likely get into LSA by Thanks Giving and won't have to worry about even applying to MSU.
