My Chances for Brown??

Hello? I'm a student from Republic Of Korea.
I just submitted my application for Early Decision in Brown.
I was intrigued by neuroscience programs in Brown after I met Professor Barry Connors in Brown.
Well, I think I didn't do well in SAT I, so I'm very worried...
Is there "any" chance for me to get in Brown?

I hope that my published international scientific paper will increase my chances...ToT

Thank you ^^

You have a decent chance. You want more than one school on your list though.

If you’re doing Brown ED, I’d bet you’re in
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/803404-chance-native-american-who-will-chance-you-back.html</a></p>

Out of country might hurt a bit, unfortunately

Thank you~~~
I’m considering to prepare my regular for

Washington University in St. Louis
University of Pennsylvania
Emory University
UCSD
Duke
Cornell
MIT
Northeastern
UC Berkley
John’s Hopkins
Oberlin

They are all good at neuroscience~~!!
Well…I hope I will do well in Early Decision…^^

wow i am extremely impressed by all of your AP scores! thats incredible. anyway brown ED i’d say you have a very good chance.

Upenn Duke and Cornell you never know but it looks pretty good
the rest i believe your in

Good luck!

Considering you’ve had work published by a legitimate magazine, and your academics seems consistent with the typical applying freshman, I’d say you definitely have a strong chance. There are a lot of people with the same grades as you, so it really helps that you’ve got such a good set of awards and activities.

Thankx for good comments~!!

Do you attend Minjok?

Yes!! How did you know??kk

Oh…By the way, my SAT I Math score is 770…not 760…kk
Still…Total scores are low…lol

well, SAT is only one part of the admission process so don’t worry.
Just try to take one more time in November.

But I actually think you got a pretty good chance.
Good luck, Hopefully, we’ll be at Brown next year :)

you’re such a KMLA

BrownED - match
Washington University in St. Louis - low match
University of Pennsylvania - match
Emory University - low match
UCSD - in
Duke - match
Cornell - low match
MIT - well it’s MIT so you never know
Northeastern - why would you even apply here but in
UC Berkley - match (but it’s UC i’m not sure)
John’s Hopkins - match/slight reach
Oberlin - not sure

you can chance me too though i dont have such impressive scores, just a friend who used to goto KMLA hahaha
i better warn my girlfriend who’s applying there too
you can chance me too! http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/803639-chance-me.html</a></p>

Thanx~!!!
I will take SAT I again in December…
I first tried to take it in November…but then I will have lower scores ha ha
I’m not good at English…

As long as you raise your CR scores everything looks great dude.
I hope that we both get in!!
See you next year. haha.

I wouldn’t worry about SAT I’s simply because your other scores are good. Are you a foreign student? If you are that might work against you but you have a great chance of getting in

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/803043-please-chance-me-columbia-ed.html</a></p>

i think you have a decent chance, despite your SAT score. I hope you can make a good impression/some good essays with those research internships.
You publish good stuff…i hope that stands out from those others around you.
Might you perhaps go to a school called Daewon?

the only possible thing I could say negative about your app is that you seem to be lacking a well rounded academia, however, the schools you have applied to are the ones that seem to accept students like that.

Good luck, I am fairly sure you will get in brown ed =D

Thank You~!!
I’m now going to Korean Minjok Leadership Academy(KMLA)!!
I wrote essays about my terrible sleep behavior…
I have been overpowered by sleepiness triggered by my meals…
In essays, I described how I endeavored to reveal the biological mechanism of this
sleep behavior(Postprandial Drowsiness in scientific terms…) and how I succeeded in
publishing my own theory in the journal…
I hope my essay and published paper will work…

Badgerz!! I agree with your idea… I’m also worried about the fact that I have been too focused on one particular area… Thanx for comments!!
Sadly, I’m the person who delves into what I’m interested in…lol
Well…but I have been doing couple of volunteer activities and music activities…
Those “might” work ha ha lol
