If you are a gold medalist at world championships for a sport be a recruited athlete and your chances will be very high.

Are you a senior now? If so, with your academic stats and being a world champion in your sport, you should already have received a commitment from Columbia’s coach, if that is really where you want to go. Whether you will get into Columbia is a moot point if you really are an elite athlete with high academic stats as well. If you are a junior, then I would definitely reach out to the coach now and they will most likely offer you a slot in their recruitment.
