I am going into my sophomore year and I need to know if I am good enough for Columbia!

Here is some information on my academic stuff:
8th grade: 2 Pre-AP Highschool Classes, 1 Regular Highschool Class, 5 Middle School Classes
9th Grade: All Pre-AP classes; STEM
10th Grade: 2 APs, 5 Pre-AP classes
11th Grade: 5 APs, 2 Pre-AP classes
12th Grade: 6 APs, 1 Elective class or 7 APs

GPA and Rankings:
Weighted: 5.38
Unweighted: 4.0
Ranking: Probably Top 7%

Currently these are my Standardized Testing Scores:
PSAT: 182
11th Grade PSAT Prediction: ~230
SAT: 1970
11th Grade SAT Prediction: ~2330
ACT: 28
11th Grade ACT Prediction: ~35

Extra-Curriculars (These ECs are what I have done and what I plan to do in the future):
Tennis
Table Tennis
Checkers
Business Professionals of America (Become President)
NHS (Member)
Model United United (Become Vice-President)
Academic Decathlon

Any other information that you need to know just ask!

your EC’s arent amazing, did you ever try at the AIME or something like it? anything like that would help… also colleges dont see psat thats only for like NMS

How could you project such improbable improvements in PSAT SAT and ACT? If those projections hold and you participate in meaningful ECs and a plethora of AP/IB classes, you have a great shot at whatever college you apply to.

You will have to get your standardized test scores up, but there is plenty of time for that. Remember that Columbia will put a fair amount of weight on your essays, sowrite some good ones. Best of luck.

It’s a bit early to say what your chances are because so much information is just projected. But just keep putting great effort into school and your ec’s and you should have a shot.
