have great recs and essays
awesome peer eval

THANKS SO MUCH! I AM OBSESSED AND WANT TO GO SO BADLY!!!!!

Interesting about the parental battle with ED, I too argued with mine. However, I lost the battle. Luckily it turned it out how I wanted too, and with a scholarship. I say this for a reason to be explained later.

I had somebody from Choate stay with my roommate on a visit, he too ran cross-country.

I feel as though your grades are average for Davidson, they won’t get you alone but they definitely won’t get you thrown out of the pile. As you may know, Davidson uses test scores as the last review of the application. I say this knowing that my test scores on the low end of the Davidson scale (29 ACT with NO SAT II’s) and 4.75 weighted GPA (3.96 weighted). I was admitted regular decision and with a scholarship. I say this as a warning to not freak out about your grades, especially coming from the school you do. Davidson truly emphasizes admitting the whole student. I believe I was admitted on my essays and recommendations.

I cannot comment on the peer rec because I am not sure how they use it. However, if your essays and recommendations reveal a strong personal value or means of motivation then I would say you have as good a chance as anybody, especially applying EDII.

Good luck!

thanks for the input! i have realized that my grades are not as strong as i would like but i strongly believe that my grades are as they are because of the classes i take and my school in general. i just hope that the admissions counselor realizes this as well. i really think that my recs will describe my motivation and personality, which i feel would fit perfectly in with Davidson. we will see! thanks again.
