What do you think my chances are at any of these schools?

Ooooh, Male AND Asian, that'll make it difficult!

I kid :) I think you have good shot at all of those schools, except MIT. That's a reach school for anyone.

Wow, what does one need to get into MIT for engineering? My class rank is #2, btw.

Well I think you still have a good shot at MIT, but there is no guarantee. Perhaps mollie will chime in, she's a grad student at MIT.

Uh, actually mollie was an undergrad at MIT, and she's now a grad student at the 'other' school in town.

you can be #1 in your class, 2400 SAT, ect ect and still get rejected from MIT...think of how many high schools/prep schools there are in america, as thats the number of #1 kids out there...about 1/2 of those will have 4.0s and 2400s...i guarentee you that number is WAYY higher than MIT's freshman class, and probably higher than MIT, Standford, Harvard, Princeton, ect's freshmen class combined...plus, theres always the non-4.0s/2400s that get in due to other strong points...
theres no way to be a shoe-in for MIT or any of those schools, just keep up the grades, add ECs, and make your app. stand out

ah, my mistake

how about the other schools?

GT and UMich you should be in...C-M probably a very low reach, just because its private and can hold high standards for whoever because they have essentially no quotas...not sure of the others
