My Chances for FSU? Engineering Major

I'm a Senior and was wondering my chances at FSU. I'm a white male and live in Florida. I will be an Engineering Major.
GPA: 3.6 UW/ 3.9 W
SAT: CR:530 Math:690 Writing:610, I know CR is low but i'm going to be an engineering major right? Will CR hurt me a lot?
Grades: My GPA has been in an upward trend since Freshman year. My Senior GPA is roughly 4.4 so my freshman and sophomore years are bringing me down.
Classes + AP: Took AP Macroeconomics as a Junior and got a 3. AP Calculus, AP Psychology, and AP Government this year.
First Semester of Senior year is over, and I have 4 A's, and 2 B's. I've got an A in AP Calculus and an A in Dual College Algebra (super easy).
Activities + Hours: In NHS, Mu Alpha Theta, Academic Team (won first place in the county), Varsity Tennis team, 200 community service hours.

Thanks a lot! :)

Good; assuming you applied early. FSU weighs GPA more than SAT scores.

I applied a while ago for the early decision but didn’t get it cause they didn’t receive my SAT scores until last week, so I get my decision in March. Would that hurt me?

It makes it somewhat more difficult. The longer you wait the more competitive it becomes.

I think your in, but like parent2noles said it will be more competitive since your receiving your decision in March. Try to send in your 1st semester grades since you did so well; it will add an extra boost. Dual enrollment is a great plus! ( I’m in it as well) good luck :)

Thanks a bunch! How would I go about sending my first semester grades? just ask my guidance counselor to do that or what? fsubound i see your from jacksonville. I am too :P

^ omg cool! What high school do you attend? I go to Mandarin High and FSCJ(dual enrollment). But to answer your question yeah just ask your guidance counselor to send your transcript including the 1st semester grades. My school is so big so they actually have a lady who handles transcripts. They make us fill out a form of which schools we want them to go to. If the school is in Florida they send the scores electronically and it takes 7-10 days and if out of state they mail it but we must provide a stamp. Just ask in the guidance office once you get back to school January 3. And go online to my connections to send the actual dual enrollment transcripts, pm me and I’ll tell you how to do it. It’s kind of complicated.

Definitely send grades. Likely you are in. It is a little harder to predict for the second round, but you have a good chance.

What would I do to send my semester grades? Ask my guidance counselor?

Yes! Ask them to electronically send your semester grades to FSU

Oh sweet thanks yea I go to Orange Park High so we’re rivals! but I think i’m not going to send my Dual Enrollment grades cause i’m enrolled at SJRCC and it’s just way too complicated for me to figure out :S Thanks for the info though i’m going to send my semester grades when we get back :)

No problem and yeah we’re BiG rivals but good luck! You should do great! :)
