My chances for getting in?

<p>It's been 3 weeks since I sent off my application and I'm getting a bit nervous because I haven't heard back yet. I'm wondering what my chances of getting in are since I'm not top 10%. My stats:</p>

<p>GPA: 3.5 UW
Rank: 57/442
ACT:32 </p>

<p>Extra Curricular:
President of Philosophy Club
First chair alto saxophone from 9th-11th grade
Was part of debate team
Did swing dance club
Working on an independent studies project in which I'm studying cinematography all year, making a movie for a public screening at the end of the year
President of Ping Pong Club</p>

<p>Honors:
Member of National Honors Society
Won an award from the rotary club
Superior rating on saxophone solo and ensemble 9th-11th (made it to state 9th grade)
4th place in Princeton debate tournament
Outstanding musicianship award</p>

<p>My essays are also very well written and creative (don't mean to sound conceited, but I worked on them for months and am extremely proud of them).</p>

<p>EDIT: I've also taken 5 AP classes and am taking 5 more this year. I'm also in the Gifted and Talented/Humanities program at my school (not sure if they take this into account. I know they didn't weight it differently in my freshman/sophomore year bringing my GPA down a lot in comparison to the people taking PreAP classes, being weighted the same).</p>

<p>My stats are pretty similar (me with a 3.8 UW and also just out of top 10%), submitted in September (transcript not sent until Oct.) and I was just accepted last week. You should be hearing back soon and, I assume, an acceptance. Good luck!</p>

<p>You may not hear back until late February…although your stats are really good. Last year, “most” non top 10%ers didn’t hear until Febraury and it’s a very long wait! Good Luck!</p>
