<p>-Hispanic girl, first in family to go to college. I'm from Long Island and was stupid enough that I didn't apply through HEOP.

-1990 SAT; 770 chemistry SAT II; 740 US History SAT II; 690 Math 1 SAT II
- AP World: 4
-AP US history: 4
-AP Italian: 5
-AP Chemistry:5
- I was named questbridge finalist and gates mellenium scholar finalist (still waiting to hear about the award money).
-AP scholar with Honor (collegeboard)
-National Hispanic Scholar (collegeboard)
-women in science society award by st john's university(chemistry and math)</p>
<p>ECs:
- I worked with autistic kids for a whole year ( about 150 hours)
-I have working experience as a cabana girl the summer before junior year
- I conducted science research at stony brook university and entered intel and siemens.
-Editor of school yearbook (member for 4 years),
-news editor of school newspaper (member 2 years),
-member of National Honor Society
-Volunteer work at church as a sunday school teacher</p>

-also applied to barnard, dartmouth, upenn, and nyu.</p>
<p>Do I have a chance of getting into Columbia???</p>
