<p>My first choice is likely to be Columbia, so feedback on my chances for CC in particular would be great. The UK education system is probably very new to most people so any comment on an individual aspect like ECs would also be helpful.</p>
<p>So firstly I'm an international student in the UK, which puts me into some need-aware admissions situations (Columbia). Our income bracket is $150,000 and we already have one family member attending college in London.</p>
<p>ACT: 35 (36E 34M 33R 36S 10W)
SAT II: Math I 730, Math II 800, Physics 800.
GPA: 4.0 (that's what ACT tells me, we don't use or understand the GPA in the UK).
GCSE: 6A* 5A - performed horribly on these
AS-Level Prediction: AAAAAA
A2-Level Prediction: A<em>A</em>A<em>A</em>A
ECs: School soccer, basketball team. Vice-president of Economics club, President of American Sports Society, Japan Society. Competed in National Maths Olympiad 8 years. Write for Economics School Newspaper, compete in 3 national competitions. Compete nationally in engineering competition.
Charity: Worked at Cancer Research for 4 weeks, organised the Japanese post-tsunami charity response where we held concerts in various locations.
Work Experience: 1 week at Pearson's finance sector, 2 weeks at Santander bank.
Ethnicity: Asian (Japanese)
Languages: English, Japanese. Learnt German, Russian for 5 years but not even close to fluent.
