Awards are good, SAT one isn’t the best. I would say chances are relatively low for harvard, princeton , yale
but who knows about cornell, etc

What should i do to improve my chances ?

Retake the SAT or try the ACT. I think you’re good ECs-wise and definitely GPA-wise.

Well, i didn’t took the SAT and i have more than 5 months to study. What are my chances with a score of 2200 and a couple of more extracurricullars and possible awards. And for your consideration i am going to apply for Financial Aid.What should i focus on, after that to get into top ivies especially Harvard ? I started with Harvard aspirations, and since i am the first one around me that is going to apply for an American University i need your suggestions alot. Thank you :)

raise your sat at least 100 points and then you’ll have a decent shot

Wwhat about for the universities like Gerogia Tech , UPenn , UCLA , Carnegie Mellon, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign ?

^ ur a match with a higher SAT score.

Extracurriculars are enough or should i do more ? I want yo attend high school summer programs like yale global scholars or programmes of different universities. But i cant afford so is it neccessary yo have a well known activity like yg scholars for ivies. And ineed some information about personal statement and application essay . Can you help me guys ?

How important are essay and personal statement ?

Essays are extremely important for admission - make sure they are unique, grammatically perfect, and convey something important about you as a person. Same goes for personal statement. Have 3-4 people recheck your essay (recommend 4-5 if two of the above check strictly for grammar).

I’d say your only weakness is English. Learn around 10 SAT words a day and brush up on grammar in order to increase your SAT score. The toughest is SAT critical reading; you really have to have a solid strategy in this category. Other than that you have good chances due to your GPA and EC’s and to the fact that you are Turkish. Ivies also look for ethnic diversity. So good luck!

Btw i applied for UWC(United World Colleges), what do you think, is it worth ? , Please re consider, if i get accepted my chances for ivies.
