Hi I'm new to CC and I'd like to find out my chances for Rutgers-Newark Campus.
I'm a junior in high school.
GPA-3.86 UW
PSAT- 175 (I'm assuming my SAT scores will be around or above this if I study)

EC's-
Freshman year- On basketball team
Sophomore Year- On track team
Junior Year- Tutored young kids,
Volunteered at local hospital for 75 hours and six months (Still in process)

Coursework- I took all regular courses freshman year, and then all honors sophomore year.
I have only one AP this year, AP English Literature. My school has a partnership with a local college that lets us take college classes in High school. (Sort of like AP but not as hard. Way harder than regular honors though) I take Anatomy & Physiology from that college.
My school is really small, and in total they only offer 4 AP courses, AP Spanish, AP Stat, AP Bio, and AP Lit.
I have AP Stat and AP Bio next year.
I'm also planning on applying to Montclair and NJIT.
So if you could please tell me my chances for those.
And I want to go into Pre-Med,
Possibly with a Biology major, I'm not sure yet.

For Rutgers… That GPA looks good, so keep it up, but you definitely need to increase your SAT score. Your ECs look good as well, and I think your courses are just fine. You’ve got a good chance! Just keep up, or even improve on your good work.

You will get into all those schools no problem whatsoever. I’m from NJ myself, and live like 5 minutes away from Montclair State. Not competitive.

Thanks!
I do plan on doing a little more volunteering and studying for my SAT’s.
Unless I get over a 2100, I’m going to be staying in-state and Rutgers looks good.
As for Montclair State I heard it wasn’t really competitive and I would probably consider it my safety school. I’m aiming for Rutgers though.

Rutgers-New Brunswick is the main campus, so if you apply to Rutgers, make sure to apply to NB as well as Newark. Other NJ publics that might be worth considering are TCNJ and Rowan.

If you get your SAT a little higher you’d be in good shape for any of the schools on your list.
