I am about to become a senior. I am an international student. I took 4 AP's last yeat (Calculus BC, English Lang and Comp., and Micro and Macro Economics) and next year I will take 4 more (AP Physics C: Mechanics, English Lit, Spanish Lit, and Statistics). My latest average was 97%. My first sat was a 2050 (710 math, 650 cr, and 690 writing) and my second sat was 2090 (780 math, 660 cr, and 650 writing). I was wondering what my chances were of getting into Stanford, considering that I have a brother currently studying there as a Chemical Engineer. Also, I am a big piano player, as well as part of the varsity basketball team of the school. Your thoughts would be much appreciated!!! First post in cc btw.

Stanford has an entrepreneurial feel. Did you make a club? Found a business? Start a charity? Really anything that makes you look like a self-starter.

Any subject or ap test scores? Ethnicity? GPA unweighted on a 4.0 scale? Class rank?

Physics subject 750
Math 2 subject 750

I think it is safe to say i got 5’s on all the AP’s I took this year… Perhaps the only 4 might be Macro. Unweighted GPA is 4. I am the founder of Math Tutors (we help students who struggle in math every lunch) as well as the founder of Chess Club. No class rank available :/

Forgot to say, I am a Mexican applying from Mexico

If you feel you could do better, retake the SAT.

Your score is below the 25% for admission.

Should I take my chances on early admission or should i retake the SAT in October?

If you are not a U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident, your request for financial aid will be a factor in their admission evaluation. Because of the limited financial aid resources available to international citizens, Stanford can offer admission with financial aid to just a small number of international citizens each year. International citizens who indicate on their applications that they will not be applying for financial aid and subsequently are admitted are not eligible to apply for financial aid at any time during their four years at Stanford.
