try to take another ap course next year to show the upward trend, and increase ur SAT score to at least a 1300/1600, and ur in

bumpppppppp

I think you're a match at UF, but they were really random with admissions this year. Not sure how being hispanic applying to a Floridian school would impact your application though..

Fabiola. What the hell?! You know you're getting into UF! lol.

I am 2/297 :D

SAT I: 1970 (CR-680, M-710, W-580 :o) planning on retaking (May 5th)

i OWN you Fabz. How's your Spring Break?

HAHA roshane! i knew a loser like you would be on here looking at people's stats and GPAs. lol! so you really think??? my dream would be like dartmouth or wesleyan university but thats like not happening since bright futures pays for everything & stuff. plus my scores arent that great

bumppppppp

b-u-m-p b-u-m-p

UF is very hard on out of staters, you need to increase your SAT score to like a 1300.

I live in FLA so I know they like to see you like president of the club. Basically eveyone who applies has all the EC's you have. They like alot of diversity so if your spanish which I am assuming you are that will help you.

Yea to get into UF OOS is as hard as heck. Especially this year. Just look at the UF thread. theres so many ppl astonished that got rejected with solid 4.0's. However its not impossible. Especially if u add diversity. UF is hard to predict. This year i know a ton of kids that deserved a shot that just got flat out rejected. It might have been a weird year but who knows. Overall id say u have a 50% chance.
What backups do u have:
if u really want Florida there are also other possibilities:

FSU: ud have a 90% chance of getting in.

University of Miami: 75% chance of getting in.

The rankings in Florida for schools are as follows:

UF: #47

UM: #54

FSU: #105

As u see there are still other good options just in case. I suggest u apply to those two as well.

in (10char)

i live in south florida, by the way

FAb, then in that case, ur chances goes up. u have a pretty good chance of getting in. ur class rank will be really appealing. good luck!

what other schools u applying to?

anybody else??? please provide your input

You are definitely in. Next...

yeye Fabiii gonna go to UF, bet u dont remember me

actually i think being oos will help someone's chances.

uf has only 6-8% or so oos . they really want to make a push into the top 10 public universities and to do this they believe they need more $$$.

in state kids do not provide that to uf. oos kids potentially could generate a huge windfall for uf if they were to increase their oos enrollment up to where all the other large public state universities are, around 14-25% oos

i think you may start to see a sharp increase in the oos % at uf over the coming years.

Theoretically that makes perfect sense but I don't believe UF has taken that turn yet or plans to in the very near future. Great point though nycollegedad

I live in Florida and it is very easy to get in to the University of Florida. I think your EC's are great and that your SAT is a little below what is expected. You are at the 1800 mark which is what is really wanted. I would boost that a mere 100 points and you are set.

BTW, there is no such thing as ed or ea for University of Florida anymore. I am applying there as a safety school and all applications much be in by Nov. 1 regardless or ea,ed,rd.
