my chances for top colleges

<p>any comments would be appreciated. my ec's are pretty weak so im wondering whether you think my grades make up for it. do i still have a chance for the top top colleges (top 10)? and do you think AP scores matter? my ap scores arent too good either.</p>

<p>Rank: 2/630ish (my school is pretty good, it was named as one of the best high schools by newsweek like top 5%)</p>

<p>PSAT: 226 (so ill probably be national merit)
SAT: 2070 (but i took it again and i know i could do better than that)
SAT Subject Tests: Bio E-750, will take it again, and will take Math II and USH</p>

<p>It would be good to know your GPA (I don’t really know how to gauge class ranking), but I think you’re looking good. Your APs do matter, however, especially if you got lots of low scores-- I don’t think they matter too much, but good scores can only help you just as bad scores are only going to bring you down. The AP grades and senior courseload are very impressive! The SAT as of now is at the low end of the median range of the top colleges, but like you said, you can bring that up. I think you’re a good candidate for the top schools!</p>

<p>my weighted gpa is a 4.71. the only ap scores i got back were both 4s. which isnt bad, but it isnt extraordinary.</p>
