My Chances for top engineering programs?

<p>I'm gonna try to keep this short. </p>

<p>GPA: 4.5 weighted, 3.8 unweighted
Rigor: I'll have taken around 10-11 AP Exams by the time I graduate, of the 6 I've already taken its all 5s and one 4.
Rank: Top 10 out of 730 students.
SAT: 2240, retaking in Oct for a 2300+ (Superscored I have a 2330)
ACT: 35
Subject Tests: 800 Math 2, 770 Chem
PSAT: 233, probably NM semifinalist/finalist</p>

<p>Vice President and Varsity Captain of Speech/Debate (Tons of awards and national rank)
Captain of DECA
Co-Founder and President of FBLA
Co-Founder of a startup aimed at providing underprivileged kids inexpensive debate resources
Interned with a company releasing a social networking app
Co-Founder and Lead Programmer at my own app development team
Assistant Tennis Coach with my City's rec program for two years
Web Developer for some of the clubs around campus
Editor at a website aimed at a tech news reporting website</p>

<p>My goal: </p>

<p>The dream schools are EECS at Berkeley, MIT, Stanford, CalTech, CMU, and Harvard
I'd be cool with U Michigan, UIUC, UCLA, UCSD, USC, Cornell, U Washington, and GeorgiaTech. </p>

<p>Dream schools are dream schools, so I’m not gonna touch those :frowning:
Hopefully you’ll get into one or two. As for your realistic options, I think you have a good chance at anyone of them. The financial aid might be an issue though :/</p>

<p>With MIT, what really matters is your essays and recommendations: they want to see that you really care about something and can take initiative. If you can show them who you are as a person and how much you want to get in, you stand an above-average chance. Check the MIT Admissions blogs for more on that if you haven’t already. Apply early if you can, you get a second chance that way. Good luck!</p>

<p>I think you’re a reach to MIT stanford harvard and probably in to Berkeley and the rest! You have good scores and solid EC’s.</p>

<p>I think you have a decent shot at Berkeley. All the ones you say you’re “fine with” are probably really good matches for you.</p>

<p>All UCs seem to be high matches. MIT is very picky and judges you buy and large from your essays. so give them high priority.

<p>I agree, all of the ones you said youre cool with you are a good match for. I think You have a good shot at most of youre dream schools based on youre class rank which is exceptionally high. Most engineering schools look for good grades in Chemistry, Calculus, and Physics courses so keep that in mind… Chance me back please</p>
