Hey guys! I’m applying in the fall exclusively to UCLA (it would take me another year to complete major prereq’s for the other UC campuses and UCLA is absolutely my first choice, anyway). I wanted to post my stats to see if I have a decent shot!
Major: Psychology
UC GPA: 3.72 (will most likely be a 3.79 by the end of Fall Quarter)
Major GPA: 3.5 (Again, it will most likely be way higher than this by the end of Fall when I have completed my all of my major prereqs with A’s)
UCLA TAP: Yes, I’m on track for completion by the filing deadline
A bit of an explanation: I have gotten straight A’s all throughout my first year of college. That low GPA can be attributed to the single non-A grade that I received–a C in my Introductory Chemistry class. I’m taking CHEM 1A in the Fall in order to prove to the admissions officers that I have a competitive chemistry foundation.
