Hey what would my chances for UT Austin be with a 3.8 unweighted gpa and a 1500 sat score. I also have Eagle rank ,150 volunteer hours, I am in MAO and robotics, and went to state for my solo(viola). And this is for if I don’t get top 6%.
if your in state u gotta a pretty good shot. Out of state it would be harder but certainly still obtainable I think
If you are out of state, I think you are a very competitive applicant. If you are in state, I think you are almost guaranteed in. Write great essays
Yeah i agree, very competitive applicant
Really high. UT Austin isn’t an extremely difficult school to get into
If you’re in-state, you have competitive stats. 90% of applicants are reserved for in-state, so if you’re out of state, that makes your chances 10%. Just make sure you have back-up schools just in case
^I don’t think you understand statistics…
You don’t know much about UT, do you? From an article about UT:
“Applications to the university rose from 38,000 in 2013 to more than 51,000 in 2017.”
It’s very difficult to get into the school. In a year or so, only the TOP 6% of any high school class will be admitted automatically. That’s a scary number! And that doesn’t mean you’ll get into the major you want. If you’re OOS, it’s even harder.
@hs0934 What major do you intend to get in?
