My chances getting into Pace?

Hey everyone. My name is Fatima and I am a junior currently attending a high school in Maryland, USA. I really want to go to a school in NYC,NY. I am currently undecided (major/minor). I researched a lot, and found out that Pace is probably the most affordable school in NYC because of their generous FA packets. Here are my stats

GPA: 3.7 (hope to make it 3.8 by senior year)

Extracurricular activities: PAC (principal’s advisory committee), NSBE (national society of black engineers ) AP crusaders, MSA (Muslim student association) ASA (African student association ), JSA (Junior statesmen of america, Co-founder of chapter and co-president), NHS (national honor society), Mentoring in Medicine

Service hours: 233

APs/Honors: I am in the science and technology program in my county, so all my classes (9-12) are honors. Out of the three tracks provided (biology, engineering, computer science), I chose biology and currently taking classes to prepare myself for my future career. I already took Bio, Chem, and I am now taking physics. I have taken 5 maths already and by the time I graduate I will have taken 6. As for APs, I have taken AP gov and I am taking AP psych, AP world, AP biology, and AP biology lab. Next year I plan on taking AP Chem, AP Chem lab, AP french, AP environmental, and AP European history.

Awards: Honor roll every since I entered HS and principal award five times. I also won 2nd place in an Annual African American history competition (winning scholarship money $1200 total) in both 10th grade and 11th grade.

Hook: If you are in the Science and Technology program in my county, you can participate in an internship program your senior year in High school. I was selected to participate as a senior. So during my senior school year, I will internship John Hopkins, Children’s hospital, Doctors hospital, USDA, NIH, or any health related center. I only mentioned the ones that have a partnership with my school.

Thanks!

you’ll get in, however, there are other schools that are just as affordable and I would do more research. I just find it interesting that your internship is with hospitals yet your major isn’t in that field? I only mention this because Pace University has 2 campuses, I attend the one in westchester and we have a VERY competitive nursing program that’s the only reason I ask. Pace Pleasantville is also cheaper than NYC.

For more specific questions feel free to ask
