My GPA is 3.1, and weighted is 3.3. The trend that my GPA has starting from freshman year is a, 2.9 to 2.3 to a 3.6, and my senior year so far is about a 3.9 GPA. I have a few leadership positions, work at my local temple, and volunteer a lot. My freshman year my school put me in an experimental program that tailored my schedule to more of the humanities while I am more of a STEM person. Sophomore year I suffered several deaths that year affected my mental health resulting in my 2.0 GPA. However, I do have a letter from my guidance counselor explaining my sophomore year, but I don't know if schools will even pay attention to it.
I really like Wake, Lehigh, and Northwestern. Even though they are a huge reach, I would love to go there (if I could afford it). Even though my GPA isn't high, I am hoping my rigor, SAT scores, work, EC's, and volunteer experience will overcompensate for it. Do I have a chance at any of these schools?
