Hi,

Well, I'd like to start off by asking would being African-American (Well, Haitian American to be exact) and a legacy be advantageous. My Mom, and both of my uncles (Mom's brothers) went to UB and had great grades. They all graduated.... As a matter of fact, my uncle's wife (my aunt) also went there if that counts. My older sister went to Stony Brook, but that's still SUNY (if that has an impact at all)...

However, I live out of state. All the way down in South Carolina..

My grades aren't that great. I think I've got like a 2.8 (but we use a ten point scale grading scale where a 90=A,) because quite frankly, I haven't really been trying that hard in school. I'll dominate all of my tests but not turn in the homework.

I understand that I'm a high school sophomore so I guess there might be some room for improvement. :/

I'm not really sure where I stand in the class rankings but I go to a nationally accredited private school with only 60 kids in a grade so that makes it really competitive to even stand out.

In terms of sports, I wrestle, run track, and run cross country. I am a 2x wrestling state champion for the private school league in south carolina but the competition, isn't that amazing compared to the public schools.

EC: I volunteer at harvest hope, which is a food bank.
I do Homeworks, which is a service project that occurs multiple times a year where you help rebuild homes for the needy.
I've got over 500 service hours at the hospital..
I also volunteer at a nursing home sometimes.

I'd really like to end up doing pre-pharmacy. I know I'm still a sophomore but my math psat was like 480 and my reading was 5-- something. I don't really remember what.. I want to say 580 but I'm not sure... The PSAT/SAT has A LOT of Geometry and when I took the PSAT this year, I had just been starting out Geometry so I'm sure my math score is going to go up a lot more now that I've been in Geometry..

Anyways, I really thank you for taking the time to read this. I'd really like to know if by the time senior year rolls in I can get in. That is my dream school because that's where my family went.

P.S. Oh, and I'd apply early decision...
