My Chances (I know, incredibly redundant)

I am from a tiny town in the Midwest (1100 pop.), so things are a little different, obviously.
SAT: 2250 (taken once--800CR, 690M, 760W, got screwed on essay)
ACT: 35 (taken twice, will take again everyone wants to see me get a 36, ugh)
SAT SUBJECT: pending, will take in November (US History, Math 2, Chemistry)
EC: Basketball, Cross Country, Football, Track, Golf (peripatetic, but everyone does everything in a small school) Youth Congress, National Honor Society Secretary, Student Council Rep., Class Secretary, Quiz Bowl Captain, Attorney General Youth Advisory Council, Voice of Democracy Oratorical Champion, Speech (conference champ once).
ACADEMIC: 4.0 GPA. We don't have AP, but I've taken a few college courses and received As. National Merit Semifinalist pending further advancement. My class schedule (we have block, we switch at Xmas):
English Advanced Composition
Trig Calc.
Anatomy Anatomy
College Physics Some other college class ?
Physics American Government
I think, despite getting hosed by the SAT on the essay (took a relativist central ground on a tech ?, yes a little too arcane for the teachers who grade them), I can write an excellent essay as well. Thanks for helping me.

JTK

Outstanding!
Be sure to complete all the paperwork and essays for National Merit and Presidential Scholars, and update H along the way as your status changes. Also, as I have mentioned in other posts, figure out (sincerely) what you might be able to contribute to better the world. Then get started, even if only in a small way. Not only will your application be enhanced, so too will your essay, your interview, and your own satisfaction.
Good luck!

Even though I was late to the fray, I noticed the battle royale betwixt the two schools.

lol. you're a funny guy. i hope you get in.
