i know he didn't put white...but im 90% sure he put "other"

then just put other

and if your from an african nation you are considered African American, yes if you white then that is of course not your race, but still. I'm considered italian american, but I wasn't born in italy. I've been in italy and they could have given a rats ass that i was italian american, all i was to them was some american who couldn't speak their language. I don't mean to sound mean, i just think these titles are used inappropriatly and that Africans from Africa who live in america should be called African american and that black americans who were born in lets say Chapel Hill and have stayed there for many generations should just be called americans. If they were to go to Africa they would stand out as an American and not as an "african american"

i just called some people and I found out when i put tunisian or whatever for "other" then it won't get any points on the admissions scale. so i don't know what to do... i really want to be a shoe-in, ya know? and i wouldn't be lying cuz i am african american

i'm curious, what did you put on your SAT when it asked?

or did it ask? i dont' remember?

white...okay u convinced me i'll put white...

email or ask the university first though, you still have plenty of time before the application is released. Because putting white is just like leaving the question blank.

omg i need to improve my SAT score...i hope i still have a chance

*** okay i need more advice

since i haven't held leadership roles should i try to be a president of spanish club this year??? I mean it interests me and everything but im taking 5 AP's this year and I'm gonna be swamped with everything :(

sat classes are even starting to depress me now lol

***ok one question seriously...yall need to answer this...what if i got a 800 on math and i did decent on everything else. could a superb SAT score make up for a lot?

Go for the Spanish club presidency. Leadership experience is huge.

An excellent SAT score is helpful, but if it's paired up with a low GPA, it can sometimes give the impression that you're naturally intelligent and not putting the effort into your studies. I think that's stupid, because, as anyone who has taken the Princeton Review will tell you, the test measures how well you can take the SAT and not much more. However, that's the inference that some admissions committees make (I'm too lazy to go back and look at your stats so I don't know if you actually have a significantly low enough GPA to have to worry about this problem or not).

i have a 3.94.....thats not too bad right
