Your lack of ECs will hurt the most, much more than your GPA. I wouldn't count you out of all of the Ivies, but what sets them apart from other top schools is that applicants present top grades and show dedication in several (doesn't need to be a dozen) ECs. You lack the second part of that formula, and you should consider applying to top non-Ivies like Duke, Chicago, Northwestern, etc...why only Ivies? I wouldn't be surprised if you were rejected from all of them.

bump

i am applying to other schools, including georgetown, nyu, unc and umich

Raise your weighted gpa.

anyone else?

bump ......

Which NJ high school do you go to?

I say you have a marginal chance at Darmouth, Brown, and Cornell. No chance at the others. It seems like you're just applying to Ivies for the name. Do you have any real interests?

What did you get suspended for?

Columbia only takes 9% RD.

HYP are ridiculous - P seemed to be less insane than HY in this years ED round.

IMO you have a good shot at Cornell ILS, and a shot at BD.

beprepn

How were you suspended?

Do you have a reasonable explanation for your suspension and can you show that you've matured?

You don't have a shot at HYP as others are saying, though your SATs are great and will certainly boost your chances at the others. The relative lack of ECs will hurt. I don't think you can count on Northwestern as others are saying. It's highly competitive and the admissions process is somewhat erratic.

sorry for more discouragement, but I say you have a small chance. It's not all about sats and scores. You gotta be interesting. Everyone has good sat scores.
