My chances next year?

I’m a junior at a small prep school in New England. Right now my top choice is definitely Brown, and I’m considering applying ED next year. I’m a laid back person and would really like to explore different academic areas, so I think I could really make use of the open curricilum. But the main areas of my interest right now are math and history, leaning more towards math.

Cumulative GPA: 4.0 unweighted, my school doesn’t weight GPA’s.
Class rank: Top 5%, I’m either 2nd or 3rd at the moment, I’m hoping to bring that up to 1st.

Classes This year:
Pre-Calculus Honors: A+
AP Chemistry: A-
English 3 Honors: A-
AP US History: A
Spanish 3: A+
World Religions/Mysticism & Meditation: A+

Classes Next year:
AP Calculus
AP Physics
AP English
AP European History
AP American Government
Spanish 4

PSAT: 99th percentile
I’m taking SATs April 1, I’m hoping for a 2200 or above
Bio SAT II: 690, I plan on taking a couple others, most likely math and history
-I plan on retaking the Bio early next fall to bring the score above 700

Any advice would be helpful, thanks.

My advice would be to NOT read CC, because it skews your views of things since everything, and I mean everything, is contested here. =</p>

You're very accomplished! It's a little hard to judge with your grades (some schools inflate grades, some don't--they're all different,) and lack of SAT scores. You'll definitely have a chance if you do well on the SAT and SAT IIs. Nothing is definite, (after all, Brown is one of the best schools in the country,) but just do your best. That's all anyone can expect.

My advice is NOT to take the Bio SAT II again, especially if you think that you'll do well on your math and history SAT IIs. I took the Bio SAT II a second time without telling my guidance counselor; when he found out, he wasn't happy. He said that colleges don't look highly upon taking the same SAT II twice. A lot of colleges will only look at your two highest scores anyway...and many don't require them at all. My score didn't change drastically anyway.
