My chances of getting in as a transfer student for fall 2011

I am curently a CC student in Arizona, and I am going to be moving to columbus over the summer. I am in love with columbus, more specifically The Ohio State University. I am in my fourth semester, and I already have 33 credits, and I am currently enrolled for 17 for this spring semester. Now unfortunately for me, I have a 2.63GPA, and I have dropped quite a few classes in the past, which shows a “W” on my trascript, but does not affet my GPA. I hope to be close to a 3.0, by the end of the spring semester. I have already sent in my application and my transcripts, but the wait is killing me. So I would realy just like to know if I have a good chance of getting in.

It was only a few years ago that any transfer student with a 2.0 GPA would get automatically accepted, that has since been changed to be more competitive but OSU is still one of the most easiest schools to transfer into. I’m sure you’ll be fine.

agree w/ atlas88, I was accepted as a transfer student with a 2.6 gpa, so you’re good

YESS!! COLUMBUS HERE I COME. They accepted me with the 2.63. Thanks for the advice guys, you kept my hopes high.

Congrats! Yea OSU is hard on OOS freshman students, but for transfers they’re more lenient.

yes I notice. @yoo2011, do you currently attend OSU? because if you do, then can you tell me anything about it, like student/night life, things to do in columbus, how safe is columbus, or any advise. Basically just anything helpful so I’m not so lost when get over there, cause I know not 1 single person over there.

Congrats on getting in, I myself am in fact a transfer student to OSU. If you are an outgoing person when you get here you will make plenty of friends, there are only 63,000 of us to meet! If you lock yourself in your room and wait for something to happen though, dont bother coming. Get out of your room, meet your neighbors, join one of nearly 1000 student groups, and I promise you that you will meet the people that you are imagining meeting in your head. Cheers, and welcome to The Ohio State University.

PS- I’m sure I sound like a paid marketer or something, but I promise you that I am writing this out of my own love for beig a Buckeye. :)
