My chances of getting in to OSU main campus?

ACT: 33; 35 english, 35 science, 32 reading, 30 math
GPA: 4.1 weighted, my school doesn’t so unweighted and I still have first quarter senior year?
Rank: school very competitive and doesn’t rank
AP’s/IB’s by end of snr year: AP Lang, AP Calc AB, AP Chem, AP Enviro, AP US History, IB French, IB History, AP Lit, AP Bio, AP Physics 1,
Extracurriculars (what will be at end of snr yr):

  • National Honors Society: 2 years; maybe an officer
  • French Club: 5 years; 3 years as an officer
  • Cabinet: 4 years
  • Medical Careers Club: 3 years
  • 200 volunteering hours at COSI, which is a science center
  • 40 hours at Nationwide Children’s hospital
  • Only 10 hours so far at Ohio State University bio lab (will have way more)
  • Shadowed my local doctor
  • Will be shadowing a pharmacist
  • Field Hockey: 3 years; varsity: 1 year
  • Orchestra: all four years of high school and 4 years prior (total 8 years)</p>

<p>Pre-Med isn’t a major. Pre-Med is a professional track that you choose. Pre-Med includes taking the following:</p>

<ul>
<li>2 Semesters: Inorganic Chemistry (with labs)</li>
<li>2 Semesters: Organic Chemistry (with labs)</li>
<li>2 Semesters: Physics (with labs)</li>
</ul>

<p>You’ll have to contact your target medical schools about their mathematics requirements. Also, a lot of schools are requiring biochemistry. You’ll also probably need to take a couple of writing/writing and research classes.</p>

<p>You can tell OSU that you want to be a Biology major and that you are interested in medicine.</p>

<p>On my BuckeyeLink, it says that I am pre-med and notes my major as well.</p>
