My chances of getting in?

I know you guys have never seen a post like this before, but I'm a rising high school senior and really want an assessment of my chances of getting into NYU.

I am undecided as to whether I want to apply to Stern or CAS. I would ultimately like to have a degree in Marketing, but I was also thinking about pursuing an undergraduate degree in History (which also really interests me)or another humanities course and then getting a higher degree in Marketing upon completion. Based on my stats, where would you recommend applying?

Unweighted GPA - I'm not sure, but it would be between 3.7 and 3.8
Weighted GPA - Unknown

SAT - 2090
ACT - 32
SAT II French - 690
SAT II US History - 650 (I was kind of disappointed with these two, and might take more)
AP World History Test - 5
(I also took AP Calculus, US History and French exams...I don't know the results, but I am not the strongest math student and am kind of nervous about the results. I am taking more AP classes senior year.)

ECs
School orchestra and yearbook, both dropped out after freshman year

Editor of school newspaper, have been on staff for three years
Film crew for our school's "news program"
Academic Team (two years)
National Honor Society (two years, head of animal shelter committee)

Have won several academic and character related awards.

I'm a little worried I don't have enough extra-curriculars...do you think I should join more?

Essays are my strong point, so I plan to do well, and my recommendations will be strong.

I'm mixed race (black and white) and female, out of state.

I've heard race is looked at in the admissions process. Would identifying myself as black give me better chances than simply putting biracial, or do you think it would matter?

Thanks in advance

Identify yourself as black and apply to Stern. if you're in Stern, you'll be able to major in both marketing and anything in CAS. If you do choose to double major, it might be helpful to know that you will have virtually no electives to use on classes outside of your two majors. Stern is ranked among the top 5 in marketing by usnews, so don't feel pressured to switch to finance if you do choose to attend.

There's no point in having many extra-curriculars. Universities prefer that you excel in a few rather than spend little time on many. Try to win more awards or get better leadership positions in the organizations that you have already joined.

Thanks, deadlysiphen. I hadn't thought about a double major. Your information was helpful to me. :)

mtl790, I hope you're not being serious. I can't help my family history, and besides, I'm proud of it. I identify as biracial, but if it will help me out, why not use what's available to me? It isn't my fault colleges are looking for diversity. I don't think it's fair either, but if it will help my chances, I'll take advantage of it.

Besides, I don't particularly care if you think it's fair or not. Go and vent somewhere else.

Don't submit your SAT/SAT IIs. Just submit your ACT. From the people (including myself) who got into NYU from this year, you're fine.
