So, I'm a junior and I have a weak GPA mostly due to being an idiot freshman year(2.7 gpa), and procrastination/laziness.
Overall GPA: 2.93(Should be 3.0 by the time I apply in the fall)
SAT: M 700, CR 660, W 630 (Total: 1990/2400. This was my first real SAT btw, so I'll hope to improve when I take it again in the fall)
I'm taking honors chemistry, honors history and honors algebra 2 this year if that helps.
EC's:
4 Yrs Football.(2 will be varsity. Possible awards next fall if i have a good season.)
I'm going to a decent highschool in MA.
What do you think my chances of getting in are? Thanks.

My GPA was higher than yours but my SAT scores were much lower. I would say you don’t have a bad chance of getting in. Just make sure you stay on top of your grades the rest of junior year and the first half of your senior year. And take challenging classes in senior year, don’t just take joke classes.

You’re fine.

A) Your SAT scores show you are generally intelligent.
B) Freshman and Sophomore grades matter a lot less than Junior grades.
C) Improving your gpa from your freshman year shows that you are maturing, and are becoming more and more interested in academics every year. Colleges look for improvement.
