<p>Just wondering what my chances of getting into a decent college </p>

<p>I'm still halfway through sophomore year so i don't have enough info yet but here is what im planning to do. Its probably too early to judge but I'm curious. </p>

<p>-7ish AP Classes, Lots of honors classes
-3.7 GPA.
-I play guitar and keyboard
-80 volunteer hours
-Will being hispanic help me get in? I heard that being a minority helps.
-Does going to the gym count as a EC activity because I do.
-2 clubs for sure. Maybe 3
-My parents didn't go to college but my sister does
-I go to a public school :/</p>

<p>The fact that you are hispanic and that your a 1st gen applicant will help you immensely.
Working out isn’t generally viewed as a “legit” EC. </p>

<p>It’d help more if you took an ACT/SAT, so I could chance you better.</p>

<p>What’s your definition of a good college? Harvard/Yale/Princeton/Stanford? or UMich/UIllinois/state flagships. Both groups are good colleges, depends on your definition.</p>
