My chances of getting into unc chapel hill

I'm am a high school student hoping to get into unc. I am graduating in 2015 and my current weighed GPA is a 4.5. I am playing soccer last year ran cross country. I have not taken the act or sat but I'm planing on taking them as soon as I can. I am in a few clubs such as the national honors society, beta club, and planing to join more. I am on yearbook, have taken 2 spanish courses, taking 4 ap courses this year. I have already taken pre calculus, am taking ap stat this year, and taking ap calculus next year for 2 semesters. My weighted GPA is a 3.85.
I want to know if I am on the right course to getting into Carolina and what I need to do to guarantee my acceptance to this school.

I am also ranked 20th in a school of 360 students.

Get some leadership positions at school and do something with your summers like internships or volunteer or research. Consider self studying AP exams just 1 or 2 some are easy like psych or human geo.

My unweighted is 3.85 I’m not sure if I made that clear in the topic

Also both parents went to chapel hill will that help me any?

Crucial question: are you a NC resident?

Yes I am a North Carolina resident

Then yes, I think you will

Would it be a good Idea for me to volunteer at jdrf. I am a type 1 diabetic and so is my father so I have some connection to jdrf.

Thank you for the feedback

Yes, you should volunteer for JDRF. You have a (very) good chance at getting in considering you’re in state.
