Hey guys, I just graduated high school in May and really want to go to CU boulder come fall of 2013. I applied my senior year but I applied in like mid January. They asked for my first semester senior grades where I got a 3.67 GPA. But, it turns out my transcripts were lost some how and by March it was already to late and I was rejected(my HS GPA ws only 2.5, 23 ACT). I am now enrolled at a community college and hope to transfer after a year. I took ten community college classes while I was in high school. I have 24 credits of which 15 are transferrable to CU. I took a summer remedial math class, the only one I needed before getting to college level but finished with a 68.17% D so close to atleast a C. I failed it because I got in a car accident two weeks before our final and missed a week. I talked to my proff to see what I could do to improve my grade, all he said ws that life happens. Anyway, my college GPA before my D was a 3.2. Now its a 2.8. I want to be a psychology major a CU and they only require a 2.5 to transfer into the college of arts and sciences. I'm not going to their prestigious Business or Engineering school So, do you guys think that if I apply early this year like September instead of January, write some awesome admission essays, and get great grades at my CC I'll have a chance of getting in. After all, I heard CU has like an 88% rate. Any advice, or your experience getting admitted as a transfer? Thanks

I think you have a great chance.

I know some kids going to boulder… B’s, C’s, and D’s in almost all normal classes. such trolls.

just talk about how much you’ve been through and take the SAT 2 for math
