Hi, I am a student from VA and I am applying to top boarding schools such as Milton, Groton, Deerfield, Loomis Chaffe, Northfield Mount Hermon, and Taft. I am currently attending public school as a 9th grader. I got pretty much all As but 1 B+ in my first quarter of 9th grade yr and got all As in 7th grade. I got all As in the first quarter of my 8th grade yr but i got 1C and 2 Bs in my third quarter. My final average grades for each quarter ended up like A,A,B,A in my 8th grade yr. I applied to Groton last year and I got waitlisted. I got 93% on SSAT last year as an 8th grader and got 85 % on October test this yr. I m planning to take the SSAT again. I guess i m pretty much confident about my extracurricular activities, interview, and essays. Also, i m planning to apply to Milton and Groton as a repeat 9th grade applicant and would this will less the chances for admission? If not, is repeating a yr will have a bad effect for college admission? BTW i m not applying for financial aid. I just wanted to know whether I meet the "accepted students' standard."
I m kinda of worried about my GPA. Also, ive been moving from place to place each yr and i guess i ll have some disadvantage on recommandations. Do u guys think that i can get accepted into any of the schools i m applying to??
