Both my parents are alumns and so is my grandfather
thanks!

follow that link and there is a chart that gives you your chances of getting in based on both your gpa and sat scores. from the chart you are most likely to get accepted to a branch campus, but that is a chart and there is no human factor. having summer summer session, there is a better chance for admissions. good luck

I think if anything the Summer Session and Alumni factors will boost your shot.

Just know that chart is from 2008 and the updated one is much harder

I was wondering the same thing about my chances in UP as well.

3.67 GPA (I don’t know what it is weighted) But I’ve been in a significant amount of honors and AP classes.
1710/2400 on the SAT
I have a very significant amount of ECs, many of which are in leadership positions
I go to a private school in NJ with a really great reputation
I am also dually enrolled in 3 college courses at a univeristy in NJ.
My personal statement was pretty strong, as well as my recommendations.

Most college scattergrams as well as my guidance counselors feel as if I’ll get in but I’m still concerned because I’ve seen many people with higher GPA’s and SAT’s. I could not select summer session because I work.

I applied Undeclared .

Any idea?

The bubble chart is meaningless I got in and I was in the yellow

Yeah, I’m in the yellow as well, but I’m closer to the blue.
I know people from my school last year got in and were in the yellow, with the same stats that I have so I was trying not to go by the chart. But thank you for responding!

people in the yellow, don’t give up because you can still get in main campus, if you applied early; it seems like those in the yellow don’t hear right away unless there is some factor that weighs in your favor, such as being an under-represented minority, recruited athlete, etc. For the rest in the yellow, the decision most likely awaits PSU deciding your fate after they review the quality of the overall applicant pool this year.
