my chances please help me.

I have quite good academic background, average sat 1 -1750 (good in math),sat 2-2300, I have great interest in math, and that is my first choice major is Math I have a lot of EC like athletics and represented my school in regional and south zone CBSE athletic meets (I am from Chennai,India).Have good leadership qualifications as well, Math Secretary, done a lot of PowerPoint presentations for helping learning and also helped in conducting cultural events at school and also played soccer for my school team and did some social work too. I have published a research paper on the extension to the Pythagoras theorem and have also presented it in an International conference on number theory. I have got two recommendation letters from two professors I worked with here on my paper. I have also taken the toefl test (97in Ibt).I have applied to five Ivies (a bit too much may be) really what are my chances?

SAT I - 1750/2400?

good luck =)

p.s. your ECs are really good though

Are you applying for aid?

Yes, to some universities.

your sat2's are really good.
your ec's are outstanding and if thats true about you presenting a paper in an international conference- wow.
Btw the paper you worked on - which journal was it published in?

Your Sat 1 is not good but that is I guess because of English and colleges can understand that.

The thing is that Ivy's are not sure shots for anybody and you should have applied to some other colleges too.

BOL

Hmmm, I'd like to see the paper you presented, do you have that online?

with ur SAT 1 scores not asking for aid at ivies still won't get u in...hope u applied to a few non-ivies

from your Toefl and SAT1, it seems to me that you're weak in language.... Trust me, that's a huge problem fort Ivies cos they see language skill as the very very basic qualification

It was published in AMTI's junior mathematician last year in December.

I have applied to other schools too Northeasten,Bu,NYu,Caltech,Stanford,CMU.

does IDOC process really matter speaking in terms of admission?

IDOC - the collegeboard thing is for financial aid and it really matters in terms of financial aid - not for admission.

You' re probably in at northeastern, BU and Nyu-(definitely if u didn't ask for aid)

No Aid for International Students in those universities anyway.
