My Chances -- Please let me know! Thanks!

Hi there,

What are my chances of getting accepted? Here are my credentials:

White male; senior in high school; applied regular decision for the fall semester of 2009.

Class rank: 37 out of 514; my GPA is a 4.0

Clubs: Future Business Leaders of America, National Honor Society, and Student Council.

Awards: I received a Town Council Citation back in 2007 for creating a town-wide candlelight vigil in memory of the Virginia Tech victims; also in 2007, I received awards from the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Army for creating a program that sent over 200 packages to soldiers serving in Iraq and Afghanistan; in 2008, I received the Superintendent’s Award [1 out of over 20,000 students]; also, I created a program that sent bicycles and medical equipment to an African village in Ghana.

I am the co-founder of my local youth group, and I have iniated over 15 fundraisers for my class.

Please let me know if you think I will/will not be accepted into BC.

Thanks!

Oh and also, I have taken three AP courses: AP Psychology, AP Politics and Government, and Advanced Accounting. Thanks!

is your 4.0 weighted? i cant think of any school where a 4.0 unweighted gets you a ranking of 37

No, it is unweighted. My weighted average is over 101.5 My school has over 2,500 students...we have a weird way of weighting and leveling.

your sats are a bit low, but ECs and awards look great.did you apply to carroll? you have a good chance

i got in EA with SATs 2020 into carroll..

To be honest, you'll have a tough time getting into BC, but not impossible. Demographics may help or harm your chances. Seeing as how you are a white male, you fit the mold of a "typical BC student" which in this case will probably harm your chances.

i think you're lacking a difficult courseload man. You got the EC's, but your SATs and courseload might be lacking.
