Heyy everyone…l.was just hoping people could give me some ideas as to where I should realistically aim for in the US and in Canada….i used to think I would do ok at an Ivy, but this forum has so many amazingly qualified people, I don’t know where I stand anymore…

Here are my stats….if anyone could give me any feedback I’d be so grateful!!

You have great ECs and scores and certainly a rigorous courseload -- I think you have a reasonable chance at an Ivy.

However, your GPA seems somewhat low for a high-tiered Ivy. Just to get a feel, what's your class rank? Is a 90% very difficult to achieve in your school?

To get an idea-- 80% or higher is considered an A in Canada... NOT 90% and higher. And generally, students who get 90% in America, then move north, get 80% in Canada.

What specificly do you mean by "an ivy"?

Admissions at the various schools in the Ivy League football conference vary almost as much as the schools themselves. Your "stats" look plausible for some of the Ivy league schools, not so much for others. But, without knowing which of the schools you've researched and found to be a specific match for what you are looking for, it would be hard to comment.

thank you all so much for the feedback i really do appreciate it...

by ivy i know i dont have a chacne at a harvard or yale...but Columbia is my dream school and u of t is my top choice in canada...so i was wondering about my chances at those two?

also ive definitely heard from lots of people, like anisky, that an A or an 80% is much harder to get in canada than the us...my school doesnt rank kids but it gives us deciles and im in the top 10%...hopefully the Ivy schools recognize the difference in canadian/us GPAs...but if they dont then my chances are going to reduce dramatically...

thanks a lot again...any other comments? :)
