<p>IMPORTANT: I am a first generation immigrant, so English was not my first language. I speak fluent Chinese, but I cannot read or write it. Also, I have not taken any language courses in high school. How much will this hurt my chances, considering the rest of my resume?</p>

<p>I think you have a decent shot at all of those schools, given your scores, grades, and ECs.</p>

<p>EC’s are average, but scores are good; being Asian male makes it hard though. I don’t really see anything that differentiates you from seas of other asian males.</p>

<p>Excellent scores make you competitive, but asian male status and average ECs makes HYPSMC unlikely. Good chance you will you get into 1+ of Cornell, Upenn, Columbia though.</p>

<p>It looks very impressive. HOwever, as Math + Sci said, it is more difficult for Asian male to get in to the top six schools, given the level of the competitivity from others. Duke & Cornel would be your match.</p>
