I have also served on a Governor's Youth Advisory Council in Nevada for 2 Years and I am on the Youth Leadership Team at the National Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy. That is also a two-year term.

My work experience consists of a part time job during the summer of my junior year (this year), and four years as the Marketing Manager to a major magazine in my community.

I have many recomendations from teachers and coaches as well as the principal of my school. I also have a part minority status (1/4 Asian).

Considering all of this, what are my chances (percentage wise) of getting into Vanderbilt. Is there anything I can work on or fix to have a better chance of being admitted? I would love to be admitted to this school!!

I would love it if someone or many people would reply to this and be honest please!!

well. the problem would be ur SAT scores nd GPA
i have - unweighted 3.3 GPA but i have a reason as to why my GPA was that low for Vanderbilt's standards
if your GPA is low because of something family issues etc then make sure u explain it in ur essay . at least this is the advice i got

pull up those SAT scores.. the extra currics look good, write a stellar essay and get awesome recommendations

right now ur chance would be around 15-20% . but if you have a reason as to ur low gpa/ SAT and bring up ur SATs id say chances go up to 40-50%

also if vandy is ur first choice, apply EARLY I

practice hard for the SATs. your chances will be better if you can improve your scores. best of luck!

another thing is take some SAT II's
like if you break 700's on both that might benefit your app a lot and perhaps balance out a bit for ur low GPA

study for the SATs . id suggest u use the BARRONs book cause it's the most difficult and if u do well on those practice tests then you're bound to break a 2100 on the actual test.

gluck
