My chances: Princeton

Hi,
Princeton is one of the schools I would like to get into but it will most likely be a reach. Just wondering what any acceptees/other applicants/anyone thinks:

GPA 4.0 unweighted.
Rank: 1/293
ACT:32
SAT: Reading 710, Writing 700, Math 730
AP Scores: World History 4, Environmental Science 5, Calculus BC 5, Chemistry 4, Biology 5, Psychology 5

Extracurricular
-Captain of Varsity Soccer Team (member for 3 years)
-Student Leader at Church (3 years) (this includes leading at youth group, cleaning up around the church/other service oriented stuff)
-Senior Leader of Fellowship of Christian Athletes
-Volunteer at soup kitchen/rescue mission
-6 week leadership-service mission trip summer 2010
-internship at United States Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (completed research for one summer and 2 blocks during the school year)
-ran soccer goalkeeper clinics for local sports organization (2 years)
-there are other small service projects/activities as well

Let me know if you want anything else.

Thanks a lot!

I’m also applying to Princeton as a reach and I think you stand a chance with good recs and good essays.

Reach.

Where are your SAT II’s? You are automatically disqualified without it.

Your EC’s are good, you should add some awards. Your SAT is average or below (bring it up if you can).

The SAT’s and Awards are your only things bringing you down. Also write a excellent essay and you might have a good chance considering your SAT II’s are above average.

I am going to retake the SATs with a prep class prior to applying. I know I have more significant awards, but I need to find them at home for the specific names/organizations. Thank you for the evaluation.

Awards/Achievements
Honorable Mention in Piedmont Division for soccer goalkeeper
School Service Award (around 200 hours of community service)
National Honors Society (this is also EC)
Coauthorship of a scientific paper
Charecter Counts Award (high school specific- probably not that important)
I will add more as I find them…

SAT IIs: Math 2 730, Chemistry 720
