Your stats look good, but your rank may hurt you. I don't know, though...these ivies are really a game of luck when it comes to the admissions process. If you have great essays and outstanding recs, you'll probably be in the running.

i think you are good.. 2 jobs is a lot.. believe it or not. most ppl dont have permanent jobs, so they wont know. but it does hurt grade a lot..

Wow, do you go to New Trier or something? I know that they have enormous classes and really smart students:--) I used to live in Highland Park, so I can see why your stats are great, but your rank is low.

Your 740 V is impressive. Are you a first generation college applicant?

Ilabcurious, No I don't go to New Trier, I attend Oak Park & River Forest High School. In my graduating class there are still 40 kids that have never gotten a B, (over-achievers). The only count 3 Honors classes for weighted gpa (4.0 scale) So you can see why my class rank is low, kids that take non honors or AP classes can get the same grade point as I do.

"kids that take non honors or AP classes can get the same grade point as I do."

wow, that's terrible. I didn't know any schools still did that. Why would they want to basically discourage people from taking AP/honors? Strange.

yea, I live in Green Bay now and my private school is like that too. We are ranked on a 12.0 scale. 12 being an A+, 11 being an A, 10 being an A-, 9 being a B+... Only the college credit cals, honors phiysics, and senior college credit english are weighted; and that is only out of 13.0 insead! 13 being an A+, 12 being an A... it is sooooo annoying! My school does not offer any AP classes either! Sigh...oh well:-(

i just have a question: you got a 5 on the AP us history exam, something only 9 % of test takers achieve, yet you scored a 660 on the US History Sat 2?? strange.

i have a question calculusboy...are you even applying to princeton ed?

yes bokonon, i DID apply to pton ED. hope to see you there

well, why did you post your christmas list in the other forums...asking for an acceptance from each college? it seems that you applied to multiple universities ed?

i wishlist is just that, a wishlist. doesnt mean the wishes are feasible.

Calculusboy, I took AP History as a sophomore, and I didnt' take the SAT II test till May of my Junior year. I never studied for the SAT II test, I took the three test on the same day.

And probably took them in this order: Writing, Math IIc, US History ?

oh ok. well that 5 is impressive. great job!

ur score are pretty good u prolly have a good chance....but rank mite hurt u a bit...unless u come from a good school dat everyone's rank is good
